The U.P. Steam and Gas Engines display of old-time farm equipment will not be the only mention of tractors this year. Tractor Supply Escanaba has committed to a UPSF sponsorship valued at $35,000, ensuring fair fun for all who make their way through the gates.
Tractor Supply has been a notable sponsor of the U.P. State Fair in years past, and the company is committed to supporting rural and agricultural communities. One instance is Tractor Supply’s ongoing sponsorship of the National 4-H Council and the National FFA Organization.
Together, Tractor Supply and the Upper Peninsula State Fair and its other sponsors help preserve a tradition—especially for youth exhibitors. Every year, exhibitors get a chance at the state fair to show off their months of hard work, competing for a bright blue ribbon.
“My favorite thing about being an exhibitor would have to be the fact that you can work hard and be competitive while still making new friends and advancing old friendships,” says Katie Johnson, a Highschool Junior and returning exhibitor to the U.P. State Fair. “It’s always neat to have amazing people waiting on the other side of the gate for you when your class is complete.”
The best week of summer will take place August 16-22, and fairgoers can catch exhibitors showing off their critters at the show arena. State Fair this year are thrilling carnival rides by Skerbeck Entertainment Group, free midway entertainment, and big-name grandstand performances.
